Chilling 911 Call in Logan Murder-Attempted Suicide

LOGAN (Ben Garbarek) -- A chilling 911 call was released from the wife of the alleged shooter from a Christmas Day murder-attempted suicide in Logan.

Philip Loshiavo was meeting his estranged wife Katie and her friend Teresa Binkley outside a Tractor Supply Company to exchange paperwork.  Police said Loshiavo shot Binkley several times at point blank range and then shot himself in the head. Binkley died, but Loshiavo survived for about 48 hours.

"My soon-to-be ex-husband just shot my friend and he shot himself," said a hysterical Katie Loshiavo to a 911 dispatcher.  "She's shot several times and he's dead."

Philip Loshiavo died at 7:53 p.m. at Grant Medical Center Friday due to complications from the gunshot wound, according to the Hocking County Coroner's Office.

Katie Loshiavo pleaded with Binkley to stay alert as emergency crews rush to the scene.  She cried and said she's sorry.

Another man passes by and calls 911.

"It looks like two dead people on the ground with a baby running around," he said.

Investigators said Loshiavo's two young kids were there, but they're not sure how much they may have seen.

The State Crime Lab is helping with the investigation.

Police said Philip Loshiavo may have shot Binkley because he thought she was interfering with his marriage.
