Murder Suspect's Family Doubts Allegations
COLUMBUS (Jen French)--A man who has been charged with abusing a corpse is now accused of murder, after police say he strangled his wife and dumped her body in an abandoned home Wednesday.
Guido Henry was charged with murder Saturday morning. Police believe Henry killed his 35-year-old wife, Amber Henry. Guido Henry's family disagrees with the allegations and thinks someone else is to blame.
"I just dont see my brother doing that," Kimberly Henry said, Guido's sister.
Columbus police officers said Henry turned himself in Thursday after he learned there was a warrant for his arrest. Wednesday, a neighbor called 911 when she saw someone pushing an unconscious woman in a plastic bin down an alley. A short time later, officers discovered Amber Henry's body in the basement of a nearby abandoned home on Camden Avenue.
Police say the two had a history of domestic problems. Ernest Henry, Guido's cousin, said the culprit could have been anyone in the alley that day.
"By him being the husband and having a little history of domestic violence, they're automatically going to look at the husband," Ernest Henry said. "Everything else will come secondary.
The couple married in 2008. The two have a four-year-old son, whom is currently staying with Guido Henry's mother.
Its hard when you have a broken home and lose one parent to murderand then one parent is gone to jail," Ernest Henry said. "Thats real rough. Thats real rough on the family.
