Do you think teens should be banned from tanning beds?
Comment: This is silly. If parents ok it, then that should be enough. Lawmakers need to focus on more important things.
Comment: This is just another law limiting our freedom. Let the parents decide. Educate the kids. Don't make new laws. from Lewis Center, OH by Alisha
Comment: i believe that it is the parent that has to be in control of their own children, don't place the responsibility on the tanning salons. from pataskala, oh by candice
Comment: If they get permission from their parents, it should be okay! We need to stop this banning, or we will not be able to choose what we can eat, live in, or drive....etc...it is getting out of control. We need to concentrate on keeping all the idiots and pediphiles off the streets, instead of worring about should teens tan, I don't think tanning and the sun, and whatever else these people want to ban are as bad as they say.
Get over the parania and enjoy this earth!
get our
idiots off the street, instead of who should be banned from tanning beds. We need to get all the preservatives out of our foods and stop cancer from becoming an epidemic. from Powell, oh by Denise
Comment: I can't believe our legislators are doing it again. Is this all they have to do? This is for parents to decide. from Circleville, Oh by George
Comment: Government needs to let parents be parents. from Westerville, OH by Jason
Comment: I think teens are oversexed these days. They want to show off those tan lines which leads to revealing clothes which leads to boys wanting those tanned skimpy bodies. from Columbus, Oh by Karen
Comment: if the prants lets them.there ant nothing know one can do about that from columbus, oh by kimberly
Comment: i think thats the stupidest thing ive heard today. Its our body, our parent or gardian already have to give permission to be able to so i think theres no need for anymore changes. it really shouldnt be at anyone els's conserns.what makes tanning anybetter at age 18? from Pataskala, oh by Tara
Comment: where do we draw the line with lawmakers??? from Dublin, oh by Trina
Comment: They are too young and parents do not always think ahead about problems in the future from their use.
Comment: It will cause cancer the same as the sun. There is to much of teens wanting to grow old before their time. Youth is precious learn to take care of it. from Marion, Oh by Eda
Comment: Teens as smart as they think they are, still do not fully understand the risks involved in tanning. They are only thinking of how they will look, not the health risks. I know, I was a teenager. from Logan, Oh by Jo
Comment: definitely, b/c at that age,you think it is the 'height of cool' to be bronzed, but later in life they'll be regretting the irreversible damage they are causing to their skin, and of course, you can't tell a teenager anything, they always have to learn the hard way, I was no different. And I seriously regret the tanning beds and the long days of 'laying out' baking I did when I was younger. This may be the only way to help protect them until they are old enough to believe what the adults and medical science are telling them and can make an intelligent choice about it. from Columbus, Oh by Kimberly
Comment: Tanning beds are unsafe enough for adults, but that is their decision to make. Teens do not have all of the knowledge or the experience to make a decision that important. They think they know it all, but they really don't. Most of them won't even use sunscreen when they are outside in the sun. I am raising 3 granddaughters' ages 13 1/2, 12 and 10 and they do not think of it either. I have to tell them or remind them to use sunscreen. I won't use tanning beds. from Columbus, Oh by Marta
Comment: HEALTH FIRST from WEST JEFFERSON, OH by MATT
Comment: i believe they should cause tanning can cause cancer and i think it will save their lives from cancer from west jefferson, oh by pamela
Comment: They are dangerous for adults let alone what they would do to them from Canal Winchester, Oh by Tammy
