GROVE CITY -- City in the safety of her home, surrounded by family, a young woman recounts the Craigslist ad she responded to.
"It was an ad for a good-paying modeling gig," said Brittany.
ABC6/FOX28 is not revealing the woman's real name for her own protection. She says she still fears the man she went to meet back in 2011.
"He was very specific and direct in his text messages and he said he'd pay $400."
The woman says Ali Salim promised to pay and that there would be no nudity but when she arrived at his home along with her father-in-law, for protection, she says Salim changed his tune.
"Things just got freaky and we left."
The New Albany doctor was charged with murder on Wednesday in connection with the July death of Deanna Ballman, a young pregnant mother.
Ali Salim, an emergency room doctor who worked in Knox County, was charged with two counts of murder as well as rape, felonious assault, corrupting another with drugs, kidnapping, tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse.
Brittany looks back on her encounter with Salim and says she's lucky she walked away unharmed. Now she's warning anyone who might turn to online websites Craiglist. She's asking they think twice.
"You just never know who is on the end. The internet can be scary."
