Nor'easter Cancels Flights at Port Columbus

COLUMBUS -- More than 25 flights were grounded coming-in and leaving Port Columbus International Airport.
Some airports shut down in the northeast as snow and sleet pound New York, Boston and New Jersey. Newark International closed at 3:00 Friday afternoon.
One of the last flights out of Newark, destined for Port Columbus.
"We were on the runway for about an hour," Mary Cassells said. "At least an inch of sleet and snow had piled up."
Cassells took that last available flight out of Newark to get home to Columbus.
"I'm very glad to be home," she said.
The multiple cancellations turned Port Columbus into a virtual ghost town. Many of the major air-hubs in the northeast closed, keeping travelers home.
Delta alone canceled 12 flights in and out of Port Columbus.
