IN THE NEWS: DIFFERENCES IN MAJOR CELL PHONE COMPANIES NARROW
NEW YORK (AP) -- Which cellular phone company is the best? AT&T, Verizon, Sprint Nextel or T-Mobile? There was a time that the question would produce a wide range of responses -- and still may. But a new study indicates that there are few differences between the four companies when it comes to customer satisfaction. The American Customer Satisfaction Index has the four carriers within two points of each other on a 100-point scale of customer happiness. That's the smallest spread since the survey began looking at all four companies back in 2005. The narrowing of the gap among the carriers is being put on improvements in customer satisfaction at Sprint Nextel and AT&T.
IN THE NEWS: WEBCAMS AT YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK
FRESNO, California (AP) -- Haven't been to Yosemite National Park? You can take a virtual visit there -- just in time for the spring snow melt. The is now a new web cam pointed at one of the park's main attractions: the soaring 2,425-foot Yosemite Falls. The high-definition camera went live yesterday -- meaning anyone with computer access is able to check out the scene as Yosemite Creek crashes over the granite wall. And don't think being able to see the falls online will cause you to decide against going. Officials at the park believe once you see the Falls on the web cam, it will be hard to resist the urge to visit Yosemite to see them for yourself.
