Dr. Kate Kruek on the east side says she's seeing hand, foot and mouth disease. It's caused by a virus that shows up as small red bumps scattered on the hands and feet. You'll also get painful white or red ulcers on the tongue which may decrease your appetite. It's typical to have a fever. Take pain medication for the sores and drink plenty of fluids, the virus should go away in a week. It is contagious so watch close contact.                                                                                                                             

Dr. Dennis Doody on the north side is seeing kids with red eyes.  Allergies are probably the most common reason for red, itchy eyes this time of year. Treat them with an antihistamine, especially the ones that do not cause drowsiness, along with allergy eye drops.

Dr. Deborah Cole-Sedivy on the northwest side is seeing urinary tract infections from bacteria entering your urinary tract, it's more common in women than men. Symptoms are pain and burning when you urinate, a foul odor or blood in your urine.  You also will feel the urge to go frequently and usually you'll have a fever. You will need to see your doctor for antibiotics.
